Our man Tom Izzo said that Friday night after the Spartans of Michigan State defeated Northern Iowa to secure a place in the Elite Eight. Congrats Tom, and congrats to the Spartans.

When Sparty was asked to comment on MSU’s coach, he simply said “I love Izzo.”

The career of Izzo is impressive, but getting this team into the Final Four may be his siganture accomplishment. I gave this team up for dead after the loss to Illinois.
