Whoa.
So, technically it’s been around for years. In the nineteenth century eyeball tattooing was used as a cosmetic correction in some cases of blindness. But this just doesn’t seem right.
Criminy! I am all for rugged individualism, but whatever happened to trekking the Appalachian Trail? Sitting on Walden Pond? Exploring the wilds of Alaska?
Disturbing, no?
He’s been injected with regular tattoo ink and his eye will now be permanently blue. Okey-doke. Done. What’s left on the list? Tour Europe? See the Eiffel Tower?
The world just seems a little more blue.
So crazy. So goofy. So permanent. I say no thank you please. Yuck.
This is the most horrifing thing that I have seen in years.
I don’t think I’d be able to look that guy in the eye, ever.
What he needs more than ink in his eye is a boot in his ass. This has “worst mistake of my life” written all over it.
If this doesn’t effect vision I will get this done one day to make my eyes red or black.
That’s the big “if”; no can tell any permanant damage yet. But it does seem kinda cool.
Although I’d be freaked out if someone was a menacing type with those eyes.
The spice must flow?
you crazy freak
^__^
you can get piercings too, sort of.

X__x scratchy much?
if i wanted this done where would i go?
EWWWWW ewewewewewew!!!!!
omg that is horrible!!!!!!!
I just saw this procedure done last night on the show Taboo. The guy had one eye done black and was planning on doing the other one the same. There is nothing cool about this. The risk of loosing your eyesight isn’t worth it and he is basically alienating himself from society. Nobody is ever going to look at that guy with his two black eyeballs and think he is badass…they are just going to think he is a freak and an idiot with two black eyeballs. People amaze me.
WTF??????? y would u do that to urself????? i would never do that to myself.
I am an ophthalmologist (eye M.D.). I can tell you this is a very bad idea. The ink is being injected underneath the conjunctiva (superficial clear skin layer of the eye). However, if the needle penetrates the underlying sclera (much less than 1 millimeter thick) the “patient” will be very likely to develop a retinal detachment or endopthalmitis and would likely be permanently blinded. Do you trust your tattoo artist to not push the needle 0.2 millimeters too far? When I do ocular surgery I always have a very powerful operating microscope and an instrument to keep the eye immobilized. Ophthalmologists are paid the big bucks because we have the steadiest hands of any surgeons, but even I wouldn’t try this without a microscope and equipment. Most of the time it would probably work out fine, but when it doesn’t you can kiss your vision goodbye and I probably wouldn’t be able to help. GOOD LUCK!
I am another ophthalmologist, and I have to second EYEDOC’s opinion, except for the ‘big bucks’ and the ‘steadiest hands’ bragging bit.
Seriously, this is really dangerous and could easily blind someone, especially given the location and angle at which he is injecting the ink in the picture. He *clearly* is oblivious to basic techniques that would minimize risks of retinal detachment and endophthalmitis (e.g., injecting over pars plana, lifting up the conjunctiva with the needle to ensure the sclera is not be punctured before injection). Even with these precautions, there is no saying how the body will react to such a foreign substance in such a delicate and complicated area. Severe dry eye (along with severe sandy irritation and severely blurred vision) and chronic allergic conjunctivitis are among the few nightmarish things that pop into my head as possible ‘side effects’ of this massively dumb thing to do.
And by then it will be too late.
that is so cool…i have peircings and tattoos… actually i have 14 peircings and 7 tats and im dying to get my eyes done red… its not to look like a badass or anything. every tat has a purpose. yeah all of you people might criticize and say he is a dumbass or stupid or disturbing. and you fancy doctors with your “steady hands” have you ever tried to make a perfect circle in a guys arm with a vibrating gun in your hand with perminant ink? No? well the you dont have the slightest idea of a “steady hand.” just because you have your doctors in something doesnt mean you know wats best for people. And lastly for all of you other people… why dont you judge the guy for his personality other than his looks… thats whats wrong with the world today…. and yes i do cut myself for all of those who want to know….
Those opthamologists are right on it. I think Blue eyes would be cool -for a while- but that eye needs to be immobilized! This is a bloody tattoo ‘artist’ – not a Doc. I don’t care how much you trust your tattoo artist – if they are ballsy enough to try to do this…then there is something wrong with them! Just buy the full Sclere Blue contact lenses. then you can take them off for your job interviews and meeting the inlaws!
id love my eyes, i dont know why ppl want to change there eye color that bad, just get colored contacts or w/e, the hazel ones look cool 🙂
Go Shannan!
wowwwww orrr owww tattoos ok thats kool anywhere but your fukin eyes man ur insane… but if i did want to change my whole eye color id get the contct lenses, which are, may i point out, most likely less expensive, non permanent( so your grandchildren aren’t like yea my granpa is a fuked up retard!!) and well yeaa better than stabbing yourself in the eye…
WTF
I don’t see what the big deal is, honestly. The eye heals a hell of alot faster than skin. Overall, I think the full eye contacts would be more irritating than the tattoo. To each their own. I love it when the limits get pushed like that. Awesome!
is dosent match his green eyes… clashes a bit

i want black eyes 😦 …..one day
dat wood hurt like crazy
i have to agree with the doctors and emoboy. im an architecture student and have 14 tattoos and 3 piercings and as good as i think my tattoo artist is, i know how much 0.2mm is and would not trust her to not go that far. i do agree that we should stop judging people by their apearance because alghough i dont look professional i have extensive training in liability and communications and behave in a more professional manner that most of my fellow students who \”look\” professional…now the good doctors gave us their thoughts as well as fair warning into what might happen yo our eyes and im thankfull because that is something that my tattoo artist cannot do..now emoboy, trashing doctors? are you really that ignorant as to trash the people who spend 8 years studying and training not to mention the years as interns and residents and hands on training so that when u cut yourself too deep and sever a vein they can save ur stupid ass ? or are you planning on going tour tattoo artist for help. the fact of the matter is that they DO know whats best for us because they spend years studying for it and your intelligence obviously doesnt not come even close. so how bout you stop acting like a childish brat and evole to an intelligent adult. maybe then you will realize the risk of what you are doing to yourself and stop being so selfish because as a person who used to cut himself i cant tell you that there is nothing more selfish than self mutilation. im pretty sure you havent even given thought as to how your loved ones will feel if u accidentally commit suicide not to mention what you will be thinking as u lie there waiting to die. and the last time i checked dressing up like a girl, wearing make up and wearing your emotions on your sleeves already has a name and its drag queen not emo.all the best.
Emoboy,i think EYE docs know what there talking about when they say they have a steady hand,I mean a tatto “artist” messes up then they can wip it out or be removed simply nowadays but if they mess you you loose your eye
eww….
this guy needs help…
tsk tsk,,,
I wouldn’t get this done myself but if it’s what this person wants then let him go for it! Like someone already said, I love when people push boundaries. He obviously knows the risks and went for it anyway so good on him! And I don’t think he cares that close-minded cockheads are going to call him a ‘freak’.
I think I’m going to be sick.. O.o
LIFE IS tOO SHORT
If you get a chance.. TAKE IT!
If it changes your life.. LET IT!!
nobody said it would be easy..
WOOHOOOO!!!
it honestly doesn’t matter what other people think.
its what YOU choose.. and if thats what you really want
and would take that risk.. then do it..
you may not like it in the end if it doesn’t work out.. but.. thats what you chose to do and theres nothing more to it.. just having to deal with the struggles to come ahead..
ur f___ing retarted that would hurt
u dumb ass
brandon roark said hi and dat shit is f____d up

wohohohohowww! that’s gotta be dreadfully painful! to have someone STAB my eye and squirt permanent ink that will ruin my chances of getting a job FOREVER??? I do SO not think so!!! Misery!
